Vantaggi
I feel so very fortunate to have landed here at Virtustream close to four years ago and have felt like part of the family since day one. I have been in the IT industry for over 30 years and consider Virtustream of the top two companies I have ever worked for. I left a company that I had dedicated 20 years to and still feel that I made a great decision for my life, family, and career. Although in many aspects we operate much like a startup (most people wear several hats) we are owned by Dell and share their amazing culture, resources, and benefits. I respect and admire my coworkers, everyone is working vigorously to grow the business and evolve to meet market needs. There is a true team atmosphere with a very inclusive approach which fosters collaboration across all organizations. Although we do have offices all over the world most enjoy working from home and the appreciate the flexible work schedules that allows. Pros, Just the facts: • Great compensation • Generous bonus structure • Amazing Benefits • An inclusive and well-rounded culture • Solid leadership with transparent communications • Flexible work schedules (Work from home) • Communication and collaboration across all organizations • Company is positioned for growth in the evolving cloud markets • Access to the tools and resources to be highly efficient I am continuously impressed by our leadership and the way they continue to evolve the company to serve the needs of enterprise cloud customers while holding on to the culture we all value so much. From the top down there are regular communications to the health of the current business and the next steps to continue to evolve and grow the business. All in all Virtustream continues to be a great place to work and has a very promising future.
Svantaggi
On the cons side of this equation, the fast pace Virtustream operates at is not going to be ideal for someone requiring a regimented workload and schedule. Most are asked to take on responsibilities that would normally be out of scope for their role. Now this is great for those who look at it as an opportunity to grow, but difficult for those unwilling or unable to step outside their comfort zone. Working from home means you will need to create your own work life balance as you will be asked to do a lot and will need to continuously evaluate your priorities.
