Visible Alpha is a Product based company which builds products for Investment Professionals (Portfolio Managers, Buy side Research Analysts etc.). The company’s major market is in US. It is growing at a good pace. When I had joined in 2015, it had less than 100 people. Now it has more than 550 people. Revenue has also grown multifold and the company has hired very senior professionals from US in Sales domain to further expand business. There are three major verticals in the company: Engineering (builds software products), Finance Ops (Research Associates process Financial Valuation models), Operations (process clients' non-Financial data). Engineering team has more of a Silicon Valley like culture with lot of flexibility, focus on innovation and opportunity to work on cutting edge technologies. People engage in healthy debates. Operations teams are relatively more structured and have very well defined KRAs. The company has a good work culture. Senior folks are approachable and have built environment of trust and openness. People's verbal commitments matter and not much unnecessary email junk floats around. Weekends are mostly off and the company doesn’t expects or push people to work on weekends. Examples of a few activities for which sometimes you have to come over weekends are recruitment process, critical production deployments, Database migration, Full day Training etc. The company encourages skills development. There is an L&D (Learning & Development) department. They find external trainers who come to office to conduct workshops and lectures. Internal Trainings by Experts also happen. Company sponsors (reimburse the fees) for various certifications like CFA, FRM, PMP and employees can take 10 days leave for exam preparation. Recently it conducted its first Hackathon of 2 days. There was huge participation by employees and it is likely to be conducted every year. I find Visible Alpha to be a very Employee friendly company. It does a lot of small things to appreciate and engage employees. I would list some of the policies/activities to shed more light: Flexible office timings, Work from Home option. Shuttle service to 3 trains stations: Vidhyavihar, Ghatkopar and Tilak Nagar Spot awards for outstanding achievements: recognition + amazon gift voucher Salary always comes on time. If month end coincides with weekend or holidays, than salary comes before and not after month end. A lot of participation in corporate sports tournaments (in Cricket, Football and Bowling). Regular House competitions (cultural and sports) helps people across departments to know each other. Recently had a Talent Night event also. Annual Off-sites (to Lavasa, Alibaug, Lonavala for the last 3 years) Quarterly team parties (company sponsored) Friday lunch buffet is company sponsored, free evening snacks, fruits available all the time (free) Diwali gifts, sweets are distributed during festivals such as Christmas, Ganesh Chaturthi, Holi, Lohri etc. Movie of the quarter - people vote on movie list to select a movie and go to multiplex to watch it (company sponsored tickets and snacks) I don’t have exact data but I feel that Visible Alpha must have one of the lowest attrition rates amongst FinTech, IT and Finance Industry.

Very little onsite opportunities (US postings) as company has ample employees there. Company made two acquisitions in last 2 years in US and England. There are some product and people integration issues.
