I was excited to join Vision Tech Team when I heard of their focus on making sure every employee is discovering and pursuing their dharma (their natural work in the world). And that they placed a big focus on making each employee more marketable. Having worked in other tech companies, I could tell something was different with this team. I knew they meant it but I was skeptical they were actually able to implement it. But, since joining, I have been blown away by their focus on mentorship, skill development, and making sure we are set up for success and in the right role (taking the time to learn our strengths and weaknesses and align our role with them as best as possible). And they are so supportive of us pursuing dreams as long as we get our work done with top quality and always stay in integrity with timelines and communication. I have been challenged to grow in a really healthy way and have already learned so much, working full time for them for about 6 months now. On top of all of that, management is committed to working with clients that are aligned with our values so that we our work is helping our amazing clients make positive change in the world. It is really special. I am still surprised more and more as I discover how authentic everything they told me in the interview process really is. Great culture. Amazing team. Lots of challenge and growth in the best way while always being treated with respect and being given the room to contribute and suggest better ways to do things. They have us read books on leadership and management and then can instantly see how they've built it into the culture - and continue to do so. Okay, I think I've said enough now. Hmmm, it actually is challenging to come up with some cons. VTT Leadership is always taking responsibility and empowering us to become better. I am trusted and have freedom within reason. It is lightyears above the cultures of other companies I've worked for. Since any cons I usually run into with companies revolve around poor communication/treatment from management, I honestly don't have any. Okay, if I HAD to think of one, we are still refining processes as we grow so, while there are a ton of processes in place to follow, there isn't yet a defined process for everything. But even that con has a positive aspect because we get to be a part of creating and refining processes, which leadership is constantly doing as they grow too.
