The Language Services department was always a whirlwind of impossible deadlines, misinformation, and plenty of finger pointing. Training was nonexistent, the reason being no one knew how to do anyone else's job. You learned that when one person left the company, they took vital information with them, and their replacement basically had to reinvent the wheel to succeed in the role.
Success at VDMS is different from what you might think the word means. Success meant not working more than 9 hours a day, not having to skip lunch due to an overwhelming workload, not having to work OT over the weekend, etc. Success was waking up every day and making it through another shift, even when it felt like the company worked against you, demanding your all even when you were "off the clock."
If this doesn't sound appealing to you -- it shouldn't -- I'd recommend staying far away from VDMS.
