The CEO who line manages the small office team is inept as a manager and business strategist, and during my 10 months there created a highly toxic workplace environment. Is excellent at showing face, so you may have a good first impression during an interview, but this is a place to avoid at all costs. The charity runs on a flawed model and will likely be out of operation in the next 5 years. The quality of the service provided is well marketed, but is in severe need of development to have quality content that would come close to matching other organisations. The network of practitioners also poorly structured. The board of directors also show relatively low care and attention when compared with other organisations. My resignation was in close tandem with 3 others at HQ, and one of the senior educational directors. The fact that the board didn’t dismiss the CEO from such a multi-faceted complaint & walkout really does say a lot. Avoid working for, partnering with, and donating to this charity at all costs.
