They don’t want you to just work for them. They want you to breathe for them, live for them, until they burn you out. This company doesn’t care about work ethics or your well-being at all, and they even mislead you during interviews, telling you what you want to hear and only showing the rough reality once you’ve joined. They proudly say you’ll have tasks to complete from day 1, which means your onboarding will be terrible and that you’ll be pressured to perform from the very start, even before having proper context. I can’t even find the words to express how awfully immature the management is for a company this size, in all its fronts. They often mistake autonomy for complete lack of support and unless you’re really lucky and ends up working with one of the few actual competent managers, you’ll be completely on your own. Upper management also has highly ambitious financial goals but no idea how to achieve them, so they pass full-responsibility onto you. That means crunch isn’t only expected, but it’s often incentivized among the team disguised as “raising the quality bar”, while not increasing neither time nor financial resources to achieve the desired results. It’s all and only about money for them, and they will take advantage from you as much as they can, without even trying to hide it (it’s literally in the company values, so believe them). Honestly, my best advice is to think at least twice before joining, as from my experience, it’s been mainly empty promises and a psychologically unsafe environment.
