Corporate parent is the Scott-Fetzer Company, who won't spend a dime to save a dollar. Ancient equipment and factory (some machinery is of WWII vintage). Marginal benefits (goes with the whole cheapskate philosophy). No forward thinking or planning; corporate parent rehires and retreads senior management from previous divisions with outmoded and 25-year-old ideas and management/production concepts. Huge staff turnover from the president on down; remaining long-term employees are very passive-aggressive, and have little incentive to learn updated practices (since they know that newly hired employees with innovative and contemporary ideas will soon become frustrated and leave).
