As an intern you are there to learn, but WWLP doesn't seem to understand this. For the first three weeks the crew wouldn't speak to me or look in my direction. It was a hostile environment walking into the office every morning (someone was usually crying or yelling), the producer of the morning show was constantly at fighting with the other employees, and everyone usually had a chip on their shoulders. After my first month I was finally allowed to assist in putting microphones on the "talent", but after that I was instructed to use the rest of my time "getting familiar with Facebook".
