Vantaggi
The concept, the cause and the typical person hired to the company are awesome.
Svantaggi
You could not ask for worse leadership than WayUp. It is hard to find words to describe the CEO that don't sound disgruntled or defamatory, so I would just suggest you read her own words given to Forbes about how this CEO thinks everyone working for her is incompetent: search "How A 25-Year-Old CEO Leads A Workplace Full Of 20-Somethings". It seems common of this startup and others to have leadership that are simply overconfident kids with the financial wiggle room to start companies and almost no people skills, bulldozering over people's feelings and delivering alternative facts and stats to clients and the public. I can think of no two public figures more alike than Liz and Donald J Trump. They have a STARTLING knack for propaganda, which you can see in comment reply elsewhere on this page. VCs who are advising this company, is this what you teach? It is unfortunate that more don't speak out on Glassdoor and the ratings look so high thanks to obvious comments from the exec board (sadly, the one that said 'sounds like the people complaining here knew they would be getting fired' and that the turnover 'was actually on par for a startup' seems to have been deleted ) and those from campus reps, who are college students/contractors with little to do with the company. To whoever wrote the interview experience that explained very politely and thoughtfully about how you were bullied by the CEO, know that active employees applauded you when they read it. Uber and Thinx have had recent stories published outing their seemingly great CEOs and this I hope is next in line. To the press outlets that keep covering advice from WayUp's leadership, I'd suggest you instead find some of those departed people and offer them a book deal for their experiences.
