Vantaggi
Great for someone who only cares about getting a well known name on their resume.
Svantaggi
Wayfair recruiting is the most toxic and dysfunctional environment I've ever witnessed. Not shockingly, recruiting has the HIGHEST turnover rate in the company and they go through people faster than toilet paper, which is also what you'll be treated like while working in this environment. Over my time at Wayfair, I experienced completely unrealistic expectations, downright ridiculous metrics, a culture of backstabbing, and highly disturbing unchecked employment practices that created an extremely hostile environment. Wayfair has a completely arbitrary 6 tiered leveling system that allows for highly discriminatory hiring and promotion practices by "misguided" managers, who generally act more like politicians than leaders. Wayfair is deservedly well known in Boston to have a massive diversity and inclusion problem, and yet they perpetuate the problem with untrained managers with zero accountability. If for some reason you decide to join, here's what it will look like: Expect to work 50-60 hours per week in an extremely high volume sales job masquerading as a recruiting job. You'll be asked to hit unrealistic goals set by people who have never recruited. You won't be allowed to make a single decision about literally anything, and your day to day work will be more like an entry level data entry intern or used car salesman. You'll rarely see anyone in recruiting last over a year, and if you do, be VERY wary of them. Lastly, and I can't stress this enough, only expect to see that good old "Wayfair jungle-gym" only if you play a politics game. Unless this sounds ok to you, AVOID at all costs.
