Vantaggi
If you're young and you've never worked anywhere else, you might like it here. Most of the company is under 25, there's a lot of partying, and it feels like the company is winning.
Svantaggi
If you care about working at a place that respects you, enables you to do your best work, and helps you grow professionally, it's a no brainer...look elsewhere! Management: Unfortunately, they look out for themselves, not for you. The majority of the execs are friends and family of one another. They're having a blast becoming paper million/billionaires together. It's all fun and games if you're one of them, but you're not. You never will be. You will make below market, work long hours, never be a shot caller, and be expected to be thankful for it. Culture of excellence: Sadly, it doesn't exist. Management is having too much fun reveling in how awesome everyone thinks their company is to want to really focus on building a great business. There's a lot of talk about this-and-that new initiative, but there's not much smart action taken to reach the lofty goals management promises members and investors. Nurturing talent: Management knows people are lining up around the block to work there. Ask too many questions or provide too much constructive criticism? They're more likely to show you the door than give you what you deserve. On the off chance you get promoted, you won't get a raise to go with it and you won't ever really be making decisions if you're not in the inner circle. HR: HR leadership can be very unprofessional. There is a frat boy culture of bullying, sexism, and harassment at the company that HR enables instead of trying to fix. HR leadership puts on a nice face, but is actually quite disingenuous and political. They exist to serve management, not employees. It's sad when you can't even trust HR; who else are you suppose to turn to? Bottom line: At all times, management is looking out for themselves, not you. If you don't think about it too much, and pour yourself another pint from the keg of free beer in the kitchen, you might forget about it for a second and think how lucky you are to have a seat on this rocket ship. They're hoping you will. That's why the keg is there.
