Instances of mandated messaging changes from "Total accounting solution" to "sync multichannel orders" to other specific directions within a short time span fueled this inconsistency. Handling of Workforce Changes: Instead of exploring ways to retool or reassign staff, the company almost always let people go without much consideration of alternative solutions. This approach impacts team morale and creates uncertainty among employees. Product Knowledge and Communication: There was significant confusion about the product's capabilities and features. This lack of clarity led to messages that did not align with the product's actual functionality, causing issues for customers and staff. Leadership Interaction and Employee Engagement: The CEO's communication style often felt one-sided, focusing more on lecturing than listening. This made employees hesitant to engage with leadership, limiting constructive dialogue and feedback. Goal Setting and Planning: The company's goal-setting process was frequently delayed, affecting the planning process at every level. Without clear goals at the start of each quarter, it was difficult for departments and individuals to align their efforts, impacting overall productivity and bonus structures.
