* Projects seem to be consistently underbid and over promised in the BD process. As a result, team members actually doing the work often scramble to try to meet champagne expectations on a cheap beer budget. * Management quick to throw employees under the bus to appease clients. * Project scoping woefully incompetent, with completely unrealistic expectations of how many hours it actually takes to complete the projects the client wants. * No health insurance. * Few if any opportunities to advance within the company. * No support for professional development.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. We read each and every one, and take them to heart. We’d like to respond to your project scoping comment first, as we think it is an issue that does take some consideration and knowledge of the e-learning business as a whole. Scoping a project is always hard as there are many variables at stake that can simply change at the drop of a hat. We try to do our best in considering all factors when scoping for projects with the information known at that time. We are also moving more and more projects to agile project management which will not only change the processes we use but will also allow for better adaptability for projects. The new PM tool that we have switched to will also allow more insight into which pieces of the project take more or less time, and we will be able to adjust future scopes of projects accordingly. Weejee Peeps wear many different hats, and during busy times, that may mean – like any job – that you put in more hours that week than usual. But that is not the norm. We value someone who can get their work done well in 38 hours, and spend the rest of the time enjoying their life outside of work. We value personal time, and know that people need that time to be more inspired and more efficient in their work. As many small companies like us do, Weejee tries to encourage learning and growth in our organization - and it is actually something we’ve recently added as a bigger internal initiative – but we also know that there are limited opportunities to advance within the company due to its size. Instead, we promote the ability to search out different elements that our Peeps may want to learn, and help them carve out time to try it. We have also looked at providing healthcare insurance for our employees. At that time, we decided that what we’d be able to provide as a small company would not benefit the employees, as many of our employees have plans with their spouses. The limited participation that we’d likely see would not be enough of a pro to outweigh the cons of the cost of the medical insurance for our business. We value each and every person who works with us at Weejee. We either succeed or fail as a team. We have increased cultural initiatives such as quarterly employee engagement surveys, implemented an unlimited vacation and sick leave policy, and improved our monthly All Hands meeting with plans to improve on many more of those cultural areas this year. Extremely talented employees, carefully chosen to excel in their roles. Everyone has a clear strength that is being leveraged, and everyone is cross-trained to some extent in one or more other roles in order to support and challenge each other to be the best. Weejee has invested in tools and templates needed to work efficiently and at a high quality. The majority of my time is spent actually producing work rather than prepping with administrative or unecessary repetitive tasks. Weejee respects the virtual work environment and harnesses its power rather than blaming its challenges. The teams are close, the live meeting time is used very productively, and communication is constant and clear.

We are not all local to the office, so many of us know each other only through phone and video calls. We really like each other! It would be nice to do an annual whole-group team event. Benefits are limited, being a small company. It would be nice to have a few more options as the company grows.

You are not just another name at Weejee; they take a very individualized approach with their employees and take the time to figure out how to work to people's strengths. Everyday I feel like I am accomplishing something and making a difference to the company. I've never felt more appreciated at a job and I've never worked for a company that cares so much about how I'm feeling in my role and making sure I'm satisfied with my work and with my quality of life (work/life balance). My coworkers are amazing. They are friendly and talented. Everyone from the top down tries to foster a sense of Weejee community even with those people who are working remotely and from far away.

Really wish they offered benefits! I really love the flexibility and go-with-the-flow attitude, but some HR procedures and policies could be tightened up and clarified.

Thank you so much for your kind review! We definitely hear you on the benefits piece. We are looking into providing benefits for our full-time employees and how much that will cost. It's on our radar for sure. We try as a company to have our employees be supportive and provide a workplace that values our employees and their lives.
