Boring, most colleagues are there to draw a salary and nothing else, technology is outdated, everyone with talent moves to other departments. Working in a technical role you realised 80% of the office lacks the required mathematical/computing skills or the motivation to do the job properly. Most of the time is wasted working on useless projects like writing internal guidance documents, writing team newsletters or discussions of internal wellbeing. There is a culture of avoiding any work which has a chance to expose problems in current policy, or will cause more work for others.
