- The Work is physically exhausting. There's lots of heavy lifting, and no air con in our store. Expect to get back home, collapse on the bed and then get up the next morning for more work. Rewards hard work with more work. - High degree of theft that is never addressed. Some people treat it like an "All you can steal buffet". As a result, facing up the store every night feels soul destroying and pointless. - Many employees feel that they weren't rewarded well with their hard work at the height the pandemic. - The technology... Oh boy. Tills were crashing constantly during payments and the refund process. This happens multiple times a day and can delay a transaction indefinitely. I feel that there is an unwillingness from the higher ups to install better systems. Scanner guns, Click and Collect Guns, The Paint Mixing Machine, and Printers are also prone to malfunctions and crashing. - While the staff are trained to the highest extent with health and safety, the customers are not. Expect them to get up close to the forklift (in operation) even though the barriers are up and signs are clearly displayed to stay out. - Many aggressive customers to the point where it can sometimes feel like an unsafe work environment. (The last two points are out of the company's control to be fair). - If I have hear Wonderwall one more time, I am going to scream. - High turn over rate, in my experience. Many people were unhappy that uncontracted hours were cut down across the board.
