I've had to fix so many other people's exceptions that were just dropped on me for fixing one unrelated requirement in the customer's profile. None of the other departments on the backend can reach out to customers for corrections for some undisclosed reason, that's up to us. Be ready to have the customer's actions count against your scorecard if they do not, use their debit card, sign up for e-statements, enroll in online banking, set up direct deposit, or even add or withdraw funds. It may be the customer's account and choice, but it will greatly determine your score, and management will be sure to not let you forget.
