Vantaggi
- Training. You'll never be thrown into something without first watching someone more senior do it, then having them watch while you try it for yourself. - If you're really into partying and binge drinking and come from an affluent & privileged background, you'll be among friends.
Svantaggi
- Commission structure. When you first start, you don't earn commission. Managers will tell you this is a favor to you, that you shouldn't have to worry about money coming in while you're learning a new skill set. You'll get a very small, incremental raise for every few placements you make (while your managers make commission off of your work). If you make it to Lead Recruiter, you'll finally start earning commission, but only if everyone on your team is productive and very good at their job. - Toxic culture. Management meetings are a joke - most of them are just excuses to drink during work and gossip about the junior staff. Binge drinking is rampant and is often the only after (sometimes during) work activity. There is little to no diversity among the staff, especially among managers. Managers and Directors frequently make offensive and tone-deaf remarks. Sexual harassment is rampant and often went unaddressed during my time there. Someone who does a lot of deals and makes the company a lot of money can get away with all sorts of offensive, inappropriate, and frankly disgusting behavior.
