Hard to move into other career paths or advancement. (No one leaves) Easy to get into routine. Welcome to share your opinion on processes with management, but don't expect the process to change. Learning outside your role will not be funded. (management digression) As staff and a US Citizen you will be responsible to pay your own taxes quarterly as self employed.
