Vantaggi
You can get a pretty large commission from a single insurance case if it's big enough. (However, if you have to take your senior worker to land the case with you, they usually take a large cut of your case commissions. I'm talking 50%.) If you're good at network marketing as a contractor, and if you can pass your life and health insurance licenses ASAP (no pay without it) then maybe you'll make some good side income to support your MAIN job. Either way, you should read my list of Cons before making a decision. Flexible hours. Work Experience If you get to a high enough level they pay for some of your travel expenses for the company trips.
Svantaggi
1. Commission-based. My advice is to just work part-time. Commission work too unstable for full-time. 2. Life insurance market is difficult. No recurring clients. Getting a client is hard enough. 3. Most people already either have insurance (penalties, fees, and loss of investment make it difficult for them to change insurance plans) or they don't have the money to afford anything more than a very small plan. 4. It's also difficult to recruit more contractors (you get benefits from recruitment), because they would very quickly need to pass their life and health insurance license for their state. Some people fail, others give up during the few months of studying. 5. Your life is difficult if your team (basically the people who recruited you) doesn't know much or if their management skills suck. The company system is that the team will teach you. If you ask HQ any questions, they basically go "ask your team." 6. You are a contractor. No employee benefits. You're basically a marketer for Transamerica insurance products. There are other companies and products available but most branches and teams have little to no knowledge of them. This is an issue considering the company advertises that they find the right company/product for the client amongst their many partners. If you're interested you have to teach yourself. 7. Extremely high turnover rate
