There really are not any pros to WFG as they are an MLM model.

-Little support from seniors -Very low pay (25% starting commission. Highest you can go is 80% and that takes several years to achieve). -Need to recruit and build a “downline” to grow income -A lot of pressure is put on recruiting and getting sales from the new recruit’s friends and family -you are not split any commission on your first 3-10 sales. They go directly to whoever recruited you. And if you do not get your life insurance license, you continue to lose out on commissions from sales. They will pressure you to keep bringing in more of your friends and family for appointments, however, to “build your business”. -They have an investment side but they always push cash value life insurance on EVERYONE because of the high commissions involved. -They will pressure you to buy in to an insurance plan, even if you do not need or want one. -you have to pay out of pocket for all licensing, licensing fees, training, trips, hotels, and lodging -they talk about taking your upline out to eat and covering their entire bill - even if you are not profitable. -they teach you to blow through your friends and family, ask them for their friends and family, and then have you go out to stores and coffee shops to talk to random people and “prospect” them by getting their number and trying to recruit them. - they tell you you can own your own business through them but is not true. They are an MLM. -they go at lengths to teach you to hide the WFG name when talking to new “prospects” -they have training meetings every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. They also hold a “BPM” (business presentation meeting) aimed at recruiting new people twice a week (usually Tuesday or Wednesday night and Saturday morning). Training meetings easily go anywhere from 2-5 hours, unpaid. -you are constantly told you’re not doing enough if you’re not recruiting and selling to recruits and their friends and family -lead generation services and social media marketing are highly discouraged and not taught -any company sponsored event has an end goal of bringing in new recruits. If you didn’t get any new recruits, you are considered a failure for that event. -they encourage agents to alienate from the people in their lives that are also not a part of WFG and those who do not become clients or recruits. -they don’t actually teach real sales or recruiting tactics. All of their trainings are motivational talks to keep you from leaving. -majority of people involved are not profitable.

Commission-Based Compensation Compensation is heavily commission-based with no steady base pay, especially early on. This can make income unpredictable, particularly in the first 6–12 months. High Learning Curve While training exists, a lot of success depends on self-study, persistence, and trial/error in the field. Some find this challenging without strong prior sales experience.
