There are a lot of great people who work here, and work hard - many of whom have been with the company for decades when it was called Comdel. Comdel was founded in the mid-twentieth century and developed a line of successful RF Electronics products. It was purchased in 2017 by XP Power and its name changed to XP Power - Gloucester MA.

Management does not comprehend the technology. The RF power amplifiers that are its main products are good products, but present many, many problems during their manufacture based on the inherent issues in all RF engineering . This was less of a problem in past years when the engineers and techs were given time to build, test and troubleshoot the products properly. The current management, being unable to understand the complexity of RF technology pushes to get more products out the door. This is a double mistake because the faster they try to drive production, the more failures occur and the more frustrated caring technicians and engineers get. These just aren't the kind of products that can be cranked out by adding more personnel and making people work harder. Further complicating success is the global supply chain problem, very relevant here due to the use of so many legacy and antiquated components.

The compensation package is not very competitive compared to similar roles in the market. Some of the product technology feels outdated, which can make innovation and efficiency more challenging. Additionally, upper management can feel somewhat cliquey at times, which may impact transparency and broader team inclusion.
