Also, they are stable and well-respected -- you will be invited into many more deals and opportunities than are available at most companies. There is a strong and consistent emphasis on quality and ethics throughout the company.

Ponderous progress, HUGE bueracracy, and weak strategy and vision. There are many many people who are "retired in place", meaning that they have little incentive to change things, to innovate, or to make new things happen. And of those folks, most are most interested in gaurding their retirements and planning their vacations.
