Vantaggi
They allow us to just kinda hang out in the office the last hour of the day if everything was completed in a timely fashion and if the manager was in a good mood.
Svantaggi
English is severly frowned upon in the production department for starters. This is absolutely the most racist department I've ever worked for. They also fake all of the wash samples that are taken from each tank and sent to quality control by putting a drop of minncare in it before being tested to makeup for the fact that they aren't in fact washing the tanks the way that the SOP states. They also make you to lie on the forms that are latter given to the doctor when testing for the respirator fit test. They say it's a 15 min light duty procedure and they literally tell you to put that even though it's not the case. It's actually a 30 minute procedure that requires a hazmat suit along with lifting 70 lbs barrels of ch base just about shoulder height into a 4000 gal tank. Just flat out making us lie to a medical care provider and hovering over my shoulder to make sure I filled it out the way he wanted was the most sketchy thing I've had to do for an employer. Well that and having to be lookout while two other employees climb in the tanks and wash the inside was also pretty suspect. There are mixing blades in the tanks and it's slippery but above all not safe. I know we aren't supposed to be doing it because the manager said to not even let people from other departments see or there could be consequences. Not to mention you have dirty shoes going into a tank that's producing products for oral consumption. I had 72 hours of pto left over that I never was aloud to use. I caught covid and instead of letting me use any pto they just didn't pay me while I was sick. Then when I finally quit. They never paid me for the 72 hours of pto that was accrued in my time there.
