Vantaggi

It will be hard to list everything, because there are so many pros! It's all remote work, which is a huge pro for me since I wanted to be able to have the flexibility of working from anywhere, and also to be at home to spend more time with my family. I chose to be part-time for that reason as well, and YNAB has not only been supportive on that front, but has actually commended me for making that choice and sticking to it, since it lines up with my priorities right now. The people are all amazing - I actually feel like we're one big family. Everyone is extremely talented, funny, interesting, caring, supportive and just all around amazing humans - so I never, ever have to worry about work drama. Also, being a Support Specialist, I'm on the front lines of interacting with our users and I've always felt that my experience and opinions/observations are really valued because of that. When I've worked retail or customer support in other places, I've often felt like the bottom of the ladder, but it's just not like that at YNAB. If it sounds like I'm describing work paradise, I truly am! YNAB has been the best place I've ever worked.

Svantaggi

Gosh, I don't think there are any. I think the only downside I can think of is that I would love to hang out with my teammates in real life more often. :)

Vantaggi

Pros: - Four day workweek - Fully paid insurance (including vision and dental) - 401k - 3-5 week minimum PTO

Svantaggi

- CEO and exec team. - If you speak up or out against leadership, management, decision making, or the direction things are going, you are branded a "core value" misfit and either pushed out or fired. - Poor (basically non-existent) manager training. - Limited job growth opportunities. Very flat org chart. - Job responsibilities/scope creep outside of the 4DWW, so you're working on Friday anyway. - Feels like working for a cult. Seriously. And you see it much more clearly when you're out. - Lots of "pretty" core value language, strategy docs, and "company culture" mindset, but behind the curtains, it's a company looking to make money. There's not the loyalty you think there is. - Firings occur with no warnings, no PIPs, and you have no way to defend yourself.
