The board elects themselves. Most do not qualify any longer as YPO members. The dues that get paid by members fund extravagant meetings for the board members and occasionally their families. Most management associates walk on eggshells wondering if they will have a job. One minute you're talking to your manager and within an hour they are gone...fired without cause and unable to contact their team. Associates are scrambling to create presentations and pre-reads for the board members who rarely have time to actually lead or make decisions about the organization. Board wants to be involved in the details, but don't have time to actually make decisions. 3 CEO's in 2 years, one of them just disappeared overnight.
