If you can be friendly with the expatriate employees from the Japanese head office, you'll receive good evaluations and won't have to rush your work. Maintaining a friendly relationship is key. Regarding salary, it's important to understand the standards of the Japanese head office. Its salary isn't at the top tier for a large Japanese firm, but it's also not at the bottom.

Expense and HR rules can be neglected, and it's difficult to set up regular sync meetings with Japanese senior staff. While I understand that this is an important aspect of teamwork, which is highly valued in Japanese companies, it has made it difficult for me to have timely, work-related sync. If you can navigate this company well, you'll learn the business etiquette of a traditional large Japanese corporation - actually a lot of learning. As other reviews have mentioned, you have to let senior, long-tenured Japanese employees succeed in their work.

There are no pro’s, avoid at all costs

Horrible company to work with and work for. They push down their most talented employees and hire managers with no experience. They promote laziness and slowness and push down those that try to improve workflows. They are against anyone succeeding ever, everything is a secret need to know basis. Doomed company, soon to be bankrupt, avoid at all costs.
