Vantaggi

It depends on the office culture and boss you have. Some of the teams and bosses have been great. At first I loved it. I felt like I was really contributing and growing, etc. I willingly worked a lot of overtime because I felt appreciated and like I was making a difference. Then I got promoted to a horrible boss, and I felt like I was being squashed and shrinking, and felt like there was nothing I could do about it.

Svantaggi

Some of the bosses are good at other things, but really bad managers and they don't seem to care about developing their managers into good ones, or moving them if they're not good managers. People are overworked. I've known several people, including myself, who have gone to the doctor or emergency room for heart issues, due to stress. A few years ago they made everyone salary a few months before requiring everyone to do a lot of overtime. That sucked and was very counter-productive. I've put so much of my heart, soul, life, energy into this company... for what? To be treated poorly. They don't follow through on promises. I was told I'd get a particular raise and after I started the new position they changed their mind. I was still doing the new position, but didn't get the raise I was told I'd get. Even after getting a doctors note, it took about 9 months to get a stand-up desk and ergonomic keyboard. If you have a good boss, they'll shield you from all the crap and poor decisions that happen above them. Once I no longer had a good boss, I got to experience more of the negative. I loved working here at first, while I had a good boss, since then it's been really emotionally difficult. Part of their motto is "take care of our employees". I wish they didn't have that there. If they didn't say that, I wouldn't have expected it. To me it does not seem like they are genuinely concerned about taking care of their employees.

Without knowing your location or role it is hard to comment or make changes in regards to your frustrations. We firmly believe in our motto to “take care of our employees” and are always working to better the culture and environment within all of our office locations. Unfortunately many of you accusations are untrue. We have never moved all employees to salary, nor has overtime ever been a requirement. Promotions and pay raises happen consistently throughout the organization. As with any strong company, these are based on merit and performance. We encourage you to reach out to our VP of HR to further discuss your concerns. Thank you.

Vantaggi

If I were asked pros of this company in 2020 I would fill this entire space. Since COVID the company culture completely changed toward the negative. They have good affordable health and dental insurance. You get to leave 2 hours early on the day before a holiday. They will provide lunch in office once a week. You get to work a hybrid WFH schedule. They invest in your 401k whether you contribute or not.

Svantaggi

Their pay is below market. I was a TAM and could have made $20k more per year with another company but wanted to stay with yardi because they weren’t publicly traded and were more stable. The culture became more stressful and toxic after covid. Yardi began a partnership with wework (see Hulu documentary) and then wework went belly up which yardi had to bail them out of. As a result yardi spent millions of dollars. To offset this terrible decision, Yardi started quietly firing people within the company. Basically, they were eliminating “overhead” without calling it layoffs because the word layoff scares clients and they’ll start looking for another software to use.

We truly care about your feedback and appreciate hearing from you though some of your experiences and observations are vastly different from what we hear from our talented Technical Account Managers worldwide. Regarding the 2022 WeWork partnership, Our CEO has a proven track record for making strong business decisions that result in continued growth and success for the company, and we were thrilled to debut a new space management solution through our ‘WeWork Workplace’ partnership which solves for a dynamic, constantly evolving future of work. We are proud to share that we have not participated in any company layoffs and have added serval thousand employees to the company in the past several years as we continue to grow. We take pride in our caring, respectful, and transparent culture and genuinely encourage anyone who feels negatively impacted by something to schedule time with the VP of Human Resources to further discuss. While we are sorry you weren’t a happier employee, we genuinely wish you all the best going forward.
