If you want to work here and then later get laid off, this is the place to work!

Svantaggi

There are too many red flags that started appearing last year: two changes of the CEO, most executives that came on board with the previous CEO have left the company, too many secret meetings behind closed doors, non-transparent management, lost contracts and decrease in workload, people quitting and not being replaced, the list goes on...and there are more lay offs to come.

I agree, it has been a rough time at Corizon as of late. I attribute a portion of that to the change in leadership, although I feel more confident in our current leadership team than I have in the last three years. At the heart of it, we are a government contract based business. As the volume of contracts we have, ebbs and flows, so does the number of staff required at corporate, to support those in the field. The decision to not replace certain positions when people leave, is a responsible one on the part of management. Should those positions have been replaced, more would’ve been impacted by layoffs. The overall mentality has become, we can all do a little more, and take on things previously outside of our job scope, to help our team members. Our current CEO saw this review, and questioned if the general consensus of staff, is that we are positioning to be sold. I let him know there is some mutterings of this in the rumor mill. He’s genuinely focused on managing our position and message to our current employees. I do think it’s noteworthy to point out, he is tuned in here. That said, having been here for 10 years, I’ve been through sale of the company before. We are held by a private equity firm, and when those sales happen, disruption to day to day activity is typically very minimal. Sorry your experience wasn’t better. Sincerely, Courtney Penning Director of Talent Acquisition

Vantaggi

Have had a diverse amount of technologies over the years to work with and the job pace itself is not super face paced so in most cases, can take time to resolve issues without feeling too rushed. This allows for more research time on complex issues and learning about new technologies as we implemented them.

Svantaggi

There hasn't been any upward movement available in a long time, no chances for advancement anymore. The company financials have steeply declined since the last ownership change. Bills aren't getting paid on time so we are stuck chasing down getting a bill paid to get Internet connections back up for example. Communication is also very much non-existent as to the state of the company, so have to rely on what is in the news to find out any real answers. Company recently filed for bankruptcy. We haven't been paid it over 25 days but we are expected to still show up and perform our normal duties.
