Vantaggi
At its best, Yext was the best company to work for, period. Incredibly innovative product, leadership was so motivating, sales were doing great, the best people, amazing culture, and then everything changed.
Svantaggi
The beginning of the end was when Howard (Co-Founder and CEO) was removed by the board. Mike Walrath was then put in charge (board member from the early days). Mike was very clear that he would not be around, basically he would be in the background and not be very involved when it came to the company. C-Suite (COO, CMO, Head of CS) was replaced by a new CMO and new CRO who were also asked to leave around two years later…because the customers were still leaving in droves and not hitting most sales targets. Since all of these roles were eliminated, so were the teams. No Services, no CSMs, etc. That being said, upward mobility is almost impossible. There are no open roles because the teams keep shrinking. Base pay is also lower than average, which was fine when the comp structure paid sales team out well. That was changed in recent years, cutting percentage of each deal by almost half.
