Svantaggi
1. Director has no skills to direct or lead teams. Gives work with no actual direction and decides out of nowhere what is and isn't in your job description. Job descriptions are vague so they can add anything to your role at any given time. 2. Bare minimum leadership. Has others do their job for them and then present it like they were responsible for the results. AI does most of the "professional" work and they know how to play politics very well. 3. No trust in store environment. Everyone pretends to get along because they spend all day together, Everyone works for themself and if sellers don't want to do tasks like go-backs or reaching out to clients or shipping garments then they don't have to, and they just get support staff to do it because the director tells other teams that sellers only have to sell. Huge disconnect among teams because leadership made it that way and fosters + enforces it. No cross-training, just unfair workload. 4. Top-selling individual gets complete freedom with no rules or standards to follow. Anyone who says anything gets told, "he makes the company a lot of money so we have to work with him". Other people have to pick up the slack and if you say no it becomes a conversation. If this were one of the other fashion houses this wouldn't even be tolerated, but the director condones it and forces everyone to work around one person who lacks professionalism + courtesy because of the money they make for the company. 5. The management team is mostly unbearable because of egos, specifically the men. You will never get a point across because they interrupt you whenever you talk and if they are wrong, they will never admit it. Very strong Italian culture. 6. Compensation is not worth the workload because you will do more than the job you were hired for. There should be a fine print on job descriptions. 7. Female colleagues are uncomfortable because of their male counterparts. Walls are thin so you can hear things that shouldn't be said at work and if you go to HR, they will not help you at all. They go through the same leaders that made you uncomfortable in the first place. 8. People who have been with the company for a long time do things the way they want to, and the director says whatever to make them happy. Politics are largely at play so you'll be given a smile, but no results or change will ever happen. 9. The director pretends to get along with everyone but is very manipulative. Only talks to top spending clients and has everyone else do the actual work. Never helps any team members (selling + support + operations and rest of management) and only gives resources to top-selling. 10. People want to like the company, but the current management makes it impossible to. Everyone's reviews have some of the same notes for that reason. Only looks good from the outside. 11. Terrible scheduling and working hours even though the business hours are great. If you are non-sales, you will never know what time you are leaving work. 12. If you are not an attractive woman or Italian man, you will not progress in this company. POLITICS. 13. HR is friendly with senior leaders so any complaints or concerns you have will be ignored and filtered through them. This is the type of company that will make you quit before they fire you. 14. ZERO appreciation. It doesn't matter how hard you work or how much you do. They will always expect you to do more and the moment that you set a boundary or question something you are coined as uncooperative and difficult to work with. They want people who just do as they are told. Cult-like leadership. 15. Sales team can do whatever they want with their downtime but everyone else is expected to do tasks throughout the day. 16. People expect respect because of their job titles, meanwhile they only do the bare minimum, and the hardest workers get nothing for it. At most you might get some lunch out of it if you are lucky enough to get to the food before everyone else finishes. 17. Have to spend your own money on dry cleaning uniforms and you do not get reimbursed which is not normal.
