The dynamic working with the Zajac family is incredibly challenging and toxic. The constant staff turnover because of how people are treated there makes it hard to get any sort of consistency in place.

Poor Management and Communication: Internal disagreements within the family-run management team led to inconsistent direction and uncertainty among staff. • Broken Promises (Bonuses, Job Opportunities): Commitments, including financial incentives and potential long-term roles, were not honored. • Unprofessional Work Environment: Misunderstandings over absences, favoritism within family-run leadership, and lack of follow-through on staff concerns. • Low Staff Morale: Concerns were raised but not addressed, making staff feel unheard and undervalued. • High Staff Turnover: Frequent departures, especially in key roles like Barn Staff and Camp Directors, contributed to instability. • Concerns About Animal Welfare: Observations of inadequate care for animals raised ethical concerns. • Cost-Cutting Prioritized Over Experience: Despite being a non-profit, decisions appeared to focus more on cutting expenses than improving staff and camper experiences. • Lack of Constructive Feedback: Staff often felt scrutinized for mistakes rather than supported through constructive criticism or recognition for their efforts. • Burnout and Frustration: The combination of poor management, lack of appreciation, and unfulfilled promises led to a negative work experience.
