Quitting after almost 4 years working in Zalando. here are high lights: - Relocation package and support - Work life balance

- Multiple layers of mid-managers, Principal engineers and engineer managers. - Old timers in this company are nothing more than gate keepers of old stack and ways of doing things, good luck innovating. - Lack of vision and unclear product road maps. - Politically charged working environment - Toxic work culture: your engineering managers and colleague are not your friends, they spy on you. mind the details you share as they would hold them against firing you. this list goes on and on. Have witnessed MANY exceptionally talented engineers leaving this company for more or less above reasons. I have absolutely wasted my time here thinking change is possible. Hence I absolutely do not recommend anyone to join Zalando ( unless you are out of options. If you are in Zalando, you know you have to make plans for quitting the company).
