The environment at work is so very positive. I really enjoy coming to work every day. I feel like ZipEd hires people who are not only talented and qualified, but also a good personal fit for the team. Everyone is very warm, friendly, and helpful. It has the stability of dedicated clientele but with the enthusiasm of a brand new startup - I love it. If you get the opportunity, come work with us! Exciting things are happening.

Compensation seems on the low end of average for the job titles, but I love coming to work so much that I don't mind that. As the company grows, I hope/expect that this will change.

The coworkers. That is the only pro.

Horrible benefits. Vacation doesn't start accruing until after a year of employment. No 401K. Owner of the company, who also happens to own ICDC College, brought her brother on board and made him the CEO. Her brother, who by the way, is a urologist, has no business savvy or emotional intelligence. He comes into the office two times a week around 5PM and makes everyone stay until 7-8PM and report to him their "projects", which is a complete waste of time considering that they send him weekly reports anyway. Both of them treat employees like children who need to be micromanaged. Both of them have no idea what is going on in their company and what the employees say about them behind closed doors. Both of them lie to employees telling everyone the company is in good shape yet have laid off dozens of employees within the last 4 months. The company has no direction and is constantly "changing course" and trying new initiatives that have no hope of generating any income. Worst working environment and employee morale I've ever seen. Stay away from this place! It is not worth the stress and sleepless nights. Everyone is currently looking for new jobs and it's only a matter of time until they lose us all.
