First con is the sub-par pay for similar positions in the industry. There is little to no structure within the company, so responsibilities are never defined and often you are getting yelled at for not doing something that was never your job in the first place. When you try to be proactive, you often get criticized for "wasting time" on something that "isn't important". It seemed that no matter how much I tried to help the company, somebody was always upset with our department. The most difficult part was the disagreement between the CFO and President of the company. They would separately tell me to do things differently and to not listen to the other. This usually ended up in completed projects where at least one party would be upset with the outcome, even if you followed instructions precisely. No praise or recognition for a job well done and a rather toxic work environment.
As stated previously, the executive team comes from all over and very rarely do you see them all in the office at any given time. The most dedicated is the CFO who is in the office almost weekly for 3-4 days.
