Vantaggi
The people are lovely, I've met some great people here. The office is in a nice location by the river in West London, away from busy Central London. A global company that's looking to/is expanding into other countries around the world - great growth opportunities. A chance to travel to other offices in Europe for work. Great relationships with airlines and tourism boards in all markets, with room for development and growth in these areas. I've personally learnt a lot about the travel sector, especially from people that have been with the company for a long time as they really know their stuff. The company went public earlier in the year, which is great for company awareness and building profile.
Svantaggi
Lack of support from company management - it'd be great if there were career development opportunities and training, but sadly there are not since management do not ask staff what they need/would like to help their career within the company. No communication between departments - it would be nice to know what other areas of the business are up to once in a while! No trust from head office in BCN - they think what works in Spain MUST work in the UK, but each market is very different so their plans generally do not work. Lack of technology development - it's happening but they're taking a very long time to get there, too slow compared to how fast the industry is moving. The brands within eDreams Odigeo have a bad rep in the UK but little is done to combat this negative image. Atmosphere in the office is terrible, everyone seems miserable and it's very quiet. Benefits package is basic but ok. You'd expect there to be some travel perks but there are none at all, and holiday is at the statutory minimum of 20 days per year.
