In my opinion- Seasonal redundancies due to poor strategic planning – The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) repeatedly fails to anticipate and navigate cyclical downturns, resulting in annual, avoidable layoffs that reflect a lack of long-term vision. Lack of career progression – There are few opportunities for professional growth. Employees often remain in the same role for extended periods without a clear path forward or meaningful development support. Ineffective management focus – Leadership frequently prioritises surface-level or outdated initiatives, presenting industry-standard features as major breakthroughs, instead of tackling core issues that would genuinely move the business forward. Ineffective HR practices – HR often sides with poor-performing managers rather than addressing issues objectively or upholding fair and ethical standards, leading to a lack of trust and accountability.
