Satish, who is the owner of ETZ, had informed me in the interview that my role was to deliver Mathematics and ELA sessions. He said he’d be sharing the lesson plans/content to be taught. He got me 2 Spoken Hindi students instead. The client paid him 30USD per class of 60 minutes per student. He paid me $5 (₹400). There was another kid who was paying 25USD per 60 minutes for 5th Grade Math. Satish paid me $5. These were the only students that I ever got from ETZ in the course of 6-7 months. I quit in Jan, 2025. I never got any lesson plans from the company. The funniest part was the operations team. This holds true for some, that their communication skills were so bad that I had problem understanding them being Hindi-speaking Indian myself. I am a freelance tutor and I work with multiple bureaus and organisations, however, ETZ’s was the most confused team I had ever seen. I had to teach them how to talk to new leads, what questions to ask them, how to make performance reports, hold PTMs etc. Everything they did was highly unorganised and half the things, they were completely unaware of. They were so unprofessional that in Jan finally before quitting, I was forced to leave the official WhatsApp group just because the team members would send messages of the manner as if it was their Family’s WhatsApp group, utterly disrespectful and casual. I prefer quality experience in my life, with anything that I do, at any place that I go to, and this was surely not one of them. Talking about the biggest FRAUD that SATISH committed with me. I was putting in a lot of extra hours towards lesson plan creation for Spoken Hindi as it was an unknown territory for me and to cater to individual needs of the Grade 5 - ELA student. I found it only fair to have my pay rate revised. I expressed the same to Satish. On Dec 4, 2024, we had decided to have it revised effective from Dec 1, 2024. Then he sent me a message “No problem. Yes, your pay will be revised.. and it will will be effective dec 1st. Need to discuss on how pay rate after the raise..” I replied, “Thanks for a quick response. I did not understand the last sentence here.“ Now the whole month had passed and it was payday. I had conducted about 20 sessions. He paid me @₹600 but the mutually decided rate was @₹850. When I told him this was as good as cheating, he stopped taking my calls or responding to my text messages and eventually blocked me. I did not want him to pay the balance amount, I just wanted to tell him that he was a big cheat and he shouldn’t do it with people’s time and lives. He came up with all sorts of excuses so he didn’t have to pay, and had no good reason for why he cheated. Please make better use of your time and be very careful while working with this guy.
