Vantaggi
With the amount of people leaving/ being pushed out, there may be opportunities for quick growth.
Svantaggi
Since February 2025, Edyn has been under the leadership of its new CEO, Alistair Thomman. However, he has yet to introduce himself to the wider company — not even a single company-wide email. For teams like the one in the Bristol office, this silence has felt particularly dismissive, reinforcing a growing sense of being an afterthought. Recently, a new "Agile" working policy was introduced, mandating that staff be in the office four days a week. This directive was issued despite the clear lack of space to accommodate such a change. When concerns were raised, the Head of People suggested staff simply work from the kitchen — a response that hardly meets DSE (Display Screen Equipment) compliance standards, let alone shows consideration for employee wellbeing. Morale continues to suffer as a clear "us vs. them" culture emerges. Senior leadership seems to have no shortage of budget for lavish trips across Europe, Thailand, and most recently Dubai. Meanwhile, staff have been told there will be no company travel, no pay rises, and that we are expected to "do more" in our roles. Communication from senior management has been sparse and inconsistent. There is little to no transparency around changes in personnel, strategy, or policy — aside from the poorly communicated Agile policy. Junior employees, however, are frequently criticised for gossiping or lacking motivation. Can you blame them? With waves of redundancies and abrupt staffing changes, uncertainty has become the norm. Unsurprisingly, routine pay rises — typically expected in May — will not be happening this year. It’s just one more way the company ensures real salaries quietly erode over time.
