Ever since the new CEO and his assistant started making all the decisions, this company has completely lost its way. Respect and empathy for employees are nonexistent. Communication has never been strong, but now it’s worse than ever — critical decisions are made without informing the team, and people find out about changes only after they’ve happened. Benefits that we relied on were taken away overnight, with no explanation or discussion. There was no pay raise this year for the hardworking staff, yet somehow, new managers with higher salaries keep being hired. It’s demoralizing and unfair. Worse, empathy for guests has disappeared completely. The leadership clearly does not understand — or care about — what hospitality actually means. The core values that once defined the company are now just empty words. To make matters even worse, they decided not to renew the contract for the Assistant Office Manager. And they split her duties across the team — including me ( duties like coffee machine cleaning , restocking supplies, performing office safety checks, and more — tasks that were never part of my original role).I wasn`t hired specifically for that role, The way things are being run now is unsustainable, and it's disheartening to see a once-promising workplace fall apart due to poor leadership and a complete lack of care for both staff and guests.
