Vantaggi

Fully remote PTO up front Teams have autonomy (due to lack of organization or clear leadership, but it does allow for teams to more or less self-manage until management remembers they exist) Access to upper management (depending on position) Good coworkers Inconsistent workflow--some days are full, but others can be safely slept through or used for household chores

Svantaggi

Legally ambiguous and ethically reprehensible work. The company advertises itself as "cookie-free" tracking, meaning they get around some standard privacy practices. Proper practices are not taken in protecting personally-identifiable information of people who don't realize how much they've agreed to be tracked. Until recently, any person in the company could get the full name, address, email address, and device information of any recorded visitor of a client site, down to a picture of the house or location they accessed the site from. This access has recently been restricted after a dedicated campaign from a team leader, and then that team leader was let go without warning or a chance to contact their team and say goodbye. Outlook for the company is legally questionable. Several services have had to be heavily modified or hastily stopped due to improving data privacy laws. Most employees I've spoken to sincerely hope that everything this company does becomes illegal soon. Terrible upper management--company-wide changes are rolled out in an afternoon with no advance warning for TLs or employees. Grand promises are made and forgotten. Recently commission checks were not paid with little explanation and put off until next pay period, implying cash flow issues. No apology was given, and the explanation (that the Director of Operations was sick that day and could not do payroll) was clearly a lie (he continued to work as normal outside of payroll). Director of Operations/CEO(? unclear given the ambiguity of where FullThrottle ends and Stream begins) routinely lies in company-wide calls. He does not do his research, so most of the things he says can be disproven with a quick google search. Upon being promoted to a management position, no training or support is given, leading to well-intentioned middle managers who don't know how to lead their teams or communicate on a managerial level. Special projects are given with no option for these new managers to say no, straining team bandwidth. Managers and team members are pressured to work some weekends (approx. 1x/month) or overtime with "if you don't, then I'll have to call in your friends on their day off just because YOU weren't a team player" bullying tactics. These extra hours aren't paid or compensated* ** There isn't a bonus or raise involved in any anniversaries. In fact, raises are only given if a person is promoted to manager. This happens fairly often as managers quit or are fired without warning and full-company structure changes roll out approximately every 6 months, but given the company's instability, it feels more stressful than it's worth. Pay is pretty bad. I've investigated several positions and it seems to be somewhere between 60-70% of industry standard, with no potential for a raise or growth. *Due to technically being a partner company to Stream Companies, FT does not have any HR personnel and does not intend to ever hire any, allowing for several labor violations. Stream HR does not seem to realize that they're still considered responsible for FT employees, leading to no HR oversight at all. Any complaints have to be taken directly to managers, and people who make them tend to end up mysteriously locked out of the system, only to find out later that they've been let go. A 9 hour workday is standard, but lunches are a half hour and employees are not advised of their legal right to breaks. **Overtime is not paid due to employees being salaried and having "flex" hours. Allegedly this allows employees to leave early and take breaks as long as work is still completed on time; in practice this leads to extra hours being worked for no reward. I would not advise working for this company under any circumstances, unless you are very much immune to peer pressure and intend to get a paycheck for doing as little as possible. Working here makes me miss holiday retail and fast food positions.

Vantaggi

The product is solid and I learned a lot about martech space. They work with big brands and you get exposure to working in marketing strategy.

Svantaggi

Constant leadership changes at the VP/CEO level. For long periods of time, the team wasn't even sure who was leading the company. They are owned by Stream Advertising, which is the main company. So everything fullthrottle.ai does subserves Stream, even though the fullthrottle.ai have their own metrics. Goal posts move, leadership changes, and no one is certain of their direction. They think they have a direction, but no one can articulate it.
