My experience working at a location owned by Trenton inside Walmart was both disturbing and troubling. From the very beginning, Trenton displayed a total lack of professionalism, attempting to form personal relationships with employees by suggesting hanging out as friends, which felt inappropriate and uncomfortable in a workplace setting. As time went on, his management style became even more alarming. Trenton frequently asked employees to engage in dishonest practices, such as offering unauthorized discounts to customers and writing fake positive reviews online to create a false image of the store. Additionally, employees were often paid in cash, a practice that raises serious legal and ethical concerns and likely avoids proper payroll documentation and taxes. Beyond these questionable business practices, Trenton’s behavior was far from typical for a manager. He demanded long hours—often over 80 hours a week—without regard for personal health, well-being, or work-life balance. When employees requested time off, he would respond by saying, "I don’t have a reserve," implying there was no one to cover shifts. If you were sick or had personal issues, you were still expected to come in, or you risked being fired. To make matters worse, Trenton constantly monitored employees through security cameras, questioning every move and invading our privacy. It felt like we were always being watched, adding to the already stressful and oppressive atmosphere in the workplace. What is even more troubling is that I later discovered Trenton has a history of multiple incarcerations. Given his criminal background, I’m left wondering how he was able to obtain and run a business inside a reputable public space like Walmart. It’s concerning that no one seemed to conduct a thorough background check before allowing someone with such a history to manage a store. How was someone with his legal past entrusted with such responsibility? This oversight only adds to the sense of unease and insecurity in an already unhealthy work environment. I would strongly caution anyone considering working at or shopping at this location. The toxic work culture, unethical practices, and lack of professional boundaries make this an incredibly difficult and uncomfortable place to be. It’s hard to believe that a person with such a problematic background and behavior could be trusted with running a business in a public space like Walmart.
