Vantaggi
For hagwons, this job is very good. The supervisors and coworkers are nice and helpful. The kids aren't too difficult to deal with. They have never been late paying me (which for hagwons is a huge deal). The hours are also steady and predictable. I haven't had to teach any surprise classes. The native coworkers are great, in and out of the office.
Svantaggi
The biggest downside (and this is true of many hagwons) is that you don't really get many breaks. This means that you really have to plan ahead/show up early to put adequate preparation time into your classes. My branch also requires me to help pick up the kids on the bus on Tuesdays. As far as I know, there is no real opportunity to make overtime pay. One is only paid for time in the classroom, not prep, not test making or grading, which are required.
