Vantaggi
If it were not for the cutting edge technology I would give this company a zero. If you want to learn about a technology and process that has a significant impact on brands enhancing and delivering serious ROI on ad campaigns this is the place. If you are starting out in your career, take the job. But that's where it stops. Pay and commission are good. Remote working (but some senior leaders want staff in the office to micro manage). CSO is one of the brightest individuals I have worked with. A lot can be learned from him.
Svantaggi
This is one of the most, if not the most, toxic environments I've worked at or known about. The CEO, although a great guy, is unfortunately just a puppet. The company is run by one person who is a complete autocrat bordering on dictatorship. This form of management seems to have polluted other senior leaders. Be warned, don't question the logic of leadership, it's a career limiting move. The company is trying to do too many things at once. Not much gets done to completion and well. Teams are on OKR hamster wheels. The data and architecture is a complete mess and there is no single version of the truth. Each team interprets the data to their benefit. Making data driven decisions is like solving a Rubik's cube. The CFO is so deep in the detail and weeds that he can't see the wood for the trees and more than 3 months ahead. This results in many keen jerk reactions. Hire loads and then fire loads. There is no clear direction from Finance as to where things need to go. I've had to ask numerous times why numbers are the way they are. There is just so much detail and little context. The CRO is a micromanaging tyrant who just focuses on the month ahead and is condescending to many employees, except Exco of course. Stock option grants have now been changed to restricted stock units with a double trigger: the company needs to IPO/be sold AND an employee needs to still be employed. Staff are drawn by this generous carrot and staff churn is artificially low. I believe many want to go but are under the RSU spell. Be prepared to work long hours, which are expected. 11+ hours a day is not uncommon. If you are not working from the west coast you will be working late into the night. This is driven by meetings about meetings to have meetings about the last meeting. There is a macho boys club mentality in many teams. If you are not part of this inner circle, you'll never go anywhere. If you are a grad or a junior in the company, it's a fantastic place to learn, but don't expect to move up the ranks through hard work. The force of the inner circle is strong.... even Yoda could not break it.
