Management is clueless about how drugs discovery works, forget applying AI to it. Most scientists have no idea what to do beyond surviving the quarter and their current manager. Proof? 7 years after founding, they barely have a pipeline, nothing in the clinic and "one" target discovered for ALS. One target after raising 800 million.
Nepotism is rampant. You will see 30 y/o "associate directors" with no direct reports or management experience. AI/ML and biology work in complete silos. Good place if you want to just coast and take a pay-cheque. Bad place if you are serious about your career.
