lululemon was by far one of the most fun jobs I have had. My colleagues were smart, motivated, and curious; there was a real sense of entrepreneurship with what we were able to create for our store. I signed on as a part-time educator with plans to leave after six months, and ended up holding every store position: Educator, Key leader, Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager. Hierarchical -- if you start in the store and want to move up with the company, you will need to move through every single retail position even if you have goals outside of retail. Unprofessional practices, at times, that create awkward environments: "clearings" where employees share very personal things that are holding them back from being present, "educator breakfasts" where managers ask employees to give feedback about other managers -- this often turns into unprofessional smack-talking, and causes ill-will in the store that didn't exist before. Pipeline is often jammed, and you may need to leave the company to get the experience you need to advance at the company or in your career.
