Laid back environment, working with smart people. The company is divided into two sides though. There's are a couple of senior engineers more set in their ways, they're all great people and great to work with, they're very experienced and smart. The other side is definitely more of what you would see in a typical tech job, all on board with the new technologies and practices.

There were unfortunate layoffs, I know some people who had been there at long time who were just let go. Everyone is mostly cool. Being a remote job it just depends who you're interfacing with daily. That'll probably dictate your experience. Most people are laid back, I just had a more "intense" manager than others. The manager was very professional and we were able to workout our differences. Maybe just a case of different styles. Enjoyed my time there overall.
