Because they tend to not train employees and throw them into the deep end, I benefited from gaining high level experience quickly and early in my career. There have been some incredible employees to have worked there, several were mentors of mine.

The CEO is a narcissist and liability to his own company. Senior management is constantly trying to cover his brutally insensitive, sexist, racist remarks. Whatever he feels like doing or saying is what he does and Management (probably paid extremely well) has to pick up the pieces and settle the insanity.

Some teams include genuinely talented people, and certain client projects can be interesting to work on. A few colleagues try hard to create a positive atmosphere despite broader challenges.

The organization struggles with clarity and consistency. Expectations are often vague, and feedback tends to be sporadic or contradictory. Standards can shift depending on who is reviewing the work, creating an environment where it’s difficult to understand what “success” actually looks like. Decision-making follows a command and control management pattern, but without communication to make expectations clear. At the same time, employees are "encouraged" to take initiative, but independent decisions are frequently overturned without clear reasoning. This makes things incredibly unpredictable and hard to build confidence or momentum in any role. There is also a noticeable pattern of rapid turnover — many employees rotate out within a short timeframe. This churn leads to instability, knowledge gaps, and a culture that feels more transactional than supportive. The workplace atmosphere can lean competitive and ego-driven rather than collaborative.
