Unorganized, no strategy, products are mediocre and kind of dated. Like a previous reviewer said they just kind of throw stuff against the wall and see if it sticks. The blaming, talking about employees behind their backs to other employees, blatant disrespect to other humans, lack of planning, leadership and overall direction is unbelievable. The CEO is not a leader. My impression was that this is just a vanity project for her and she (her family) bought her way into the makeup industry because she couldn’t make it with her own skills. For a brand that boasts women’s empowerment, she does a great job at tearing her female employees down. Is it her insecurities, lack of experience, lack of empathy, spoiled and out of touch personality? Yes, and a lot more. If I knew someone who was considering this company I would literally physically stop them from going to the interview and getting involved in this in any way. One important thing I learned from theBalm and it’s CEO was the kind of person I NEVER want to become.
