Vantaggi

I had the opportunity to work as a designer at Xgenious, which was a valuable experience for my career. During my time there, I learned many things—especially about teamwork, creative thinking, and professionalism. The working environment at the company was friendly and supportive. Seniors were always there to guide me and encouraged sharing new ideas. The projects were challenging, which helped me improve my skills further.

Svantaggi

This is a busy area can be distracting at times

Vantaggi

1. Flexible work-from-home policy: The company allows flexibility for working from home when needed. 2. Coffee available: Coffee is provided, but constant reminders about the cost of coffee and milk make it feel less like a perk. 3. On-time salary: Salaries are paid on time. 4. Friendly colleagues: The team members are generally friendly, supportive, and helpful.

Svantaggi

1. Very low salary: The compensation is extremely low compared to industry standards. Interns earn around 8–10k BDT, and even after 6 months the maximum offer for a junior developer role is usually around 15k BDT. 2. Long internship period: The internship lasts 6 months, which feels quite long given the low compensation. 3. Micromanagement: The work environment involves significant micromanagement, which makes it difficult to work independently. 4. Lack of senior developers: The company mainly relies on junior developers and interns. There are very few (if any) experienced senior developers to provide proper guidance or mentorship. 5. No proper code review process: There is essentially no structured code review. The general attitude seems to be “don’t touch it if it works.” 6. High work pressure: Interns are expected to deliver output similar to junior or even mid-level developers. Deadlines are often unrealistic, which leads to working 1–2 extra hours daily. Despite the extra effort, feedback is often negative and appreciation is almost nonexistent. 7. Weekend work expectations: Although not officially mandatory, there is often an expectation that employees will work on weekends as well.
