Team Member Spotlight: David Mash, RPSGT, CRT, BS, Polysomnographic Technologist at Banner North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO. My Banner journey began about 18 years ago. Throughout my time at Banner North Colorado Medical Center, I have held a handful of job titles: Respiratory Therapist, Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (Night Sleep Tech), CPAP Clinic Coordinator, and I am currently the day tech for the Banner Sleep Lab. I enjoy working at Banner because of the great work-life balance they provide. I also appreciate the additional wellness benefits such as access to the employee gym and HSA. I am fortunate to live close to NCMC, allowing me to walk, ride my bike, and even ski into work on really snowy days. Team Member Spotlight: Kayla Stetz RN, BSN, Registered Nurse in Med Surg at Banner Wyoming Medical Center. My Banner journey began two years ago as a new grad RN. I had just graduated nursing school and was ready to start my career. Life had other plans for me, and my nursing career was on hold for nine months. At that time, I worked as a CNA and learned everything I could about the medical floor. I used those nine moths to obtain my BSN and Rn license while raising three spunky kiddos. Working with awesome nursing assistants and RNs has allowed me to become a better nurse while providing excellent patient care. I continue to develop my skills and grow as an RN in other roles; those being a preceptor and a charge nurse on the medical unit. During my nursing career I have had the opportunity to build my knowledge and skills towards becoming an oral antineoplastic validated RN; this has broadened my perspective as a bedside nurse. It is always an honor to welcome, teach, and watch new nurses as they grow into their nurse role and start their journey into medicine.

Team Member Spotlight: Christina Diaz, Clinical Research Recruitment Program Manager at Banner Alzheimer's Institute. My Banner Health journey began at 16 years old as a volunteer at Banner Thunderbird. After attending college in Flagstaff and then returning to Phoenix, I found my way back to Banner. For the last three years, I have worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator for Banner Alzheimer's Institute. I help facilitate visits for a prevention study called the AHEAD 3-45 Study, which serves to fight Alzheimer’s Disease and get AHEAD of it before symptom onset. It is an honor to work with these individuals and their families and to be a part of this mission. In addition, I currently lead a support group in Spanish called Un Descancito, which has allowed me to reach out to the Hispanic community and help provide education on brain health, Alzheimer’s Disease, and resources available for individuals who may have friends or family members impacted by this disease. I am very fortunate to be able to support my community and contribute to helping bridge the language barriers in healthcare. When you can say it is hard to narrow down my favorite parts of my job, that’s how you know you are doing what you love most. But, if you ask me what makes me choose to work in research every day, it will always be our participants and the team I work alongside. Without them, none of this would be possible. Without them, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
